Curriculum: "Data Analyst" [DA]

The aim of this study plan path is to build a flexible and modern professional that is able to understand all phases of the data analysis process combining rigorous in-depth understanding of methodologies for modern world needs. The students will learn appropriate statistical methodologies and software tools to set data requirements, define data collection, organization, and cleaning, dealing with small to huge datasets. Then they will acquire tools for efficient data exploration visualization and modeling. All of this with aim of extracting the cleanest information possible from the available data.

(*) Statistician John Tukey defined data analysis in 1961 as: "<em>Procedures for analyzing data, techniques for interpreting the results of such procedures, ways of planning the gathering of data to make its analysis easier, more precise or more accurate, and all the machinery and results of (mathematical) statistics which apply to analyzing data.
