On Tuesday 25 February, at 6:00 pm, in Room 34 (fourth floor) of the Department of Statistical Sciences, an introductory meeting will be held to the 5th series of seminars
"Case studies on food and agricultural statistics"
in collaboration with FAO.
Valerie Bizier (FAO Statistics Division) and Ashley Steel (FAO Forest Division) will provide an overview of the series of seminars.

The 2024-2025 series, consisting of 13 seminars that will continue until Tuesday 27 May 2025, includes a part of laboratory activities and a part of theoretical introduction to the various topics covered, based on FAO data archives. The meetings are organized within the framework agreement signed by Sapienza and FAO and is aimed at promoting and developing the European Master of Official Statistics - EMOS (an initiative shared by Eurostat and the European Statistical System, to connect the producers of official statistics and the academic world at European level)
The introduction to the various topics is conducted in view of possible collaborations for internships and degree theses.
